Thankful Thoughts

By Korryn

I just want to start off by saying how appropriate it is that in the same month we get Thanksgiving PLUS a new Taylor Swift album. If anything/anyone can redeem 2017, it’s Taylor Swift and her new album.

I am completely serious about Taylor Swift. There is literally only a handful of humans I love more than her – and I’ll outline that here:

My family – while it’s no longer complete because of the loss of my mom, I am reminded how lucky I am to have the support system I do. I know my dad and any of grandparents are just a call away if I need ‘em and that my siblings are always up to help a girl move if they need to. I’ve always been a family kind of girl and while I’ve never been much of a partier, some of my favorite crazy weekly activities are going store to store with my Noni or watching The Walking Dead with my Nana. I know, I know… you don’t have to tell me to settle down.

RyLo – yes, a cheesy thankful message here for the guy that puts up with me making him stay up til midnight to hear the new Taylor Swift song or stay silent on Thursdays from 7-10pm while I watch “my shows,” aka #TGIT! I’m a worthless human being every Thursday during the fall and spring.

Speaking of TGIT – let’s just say how thankful I am for that this year, because well next year it just won’t be the same without Scandal. There’s nothing I love more than watching the strong leading ladies – Meredith Grey, Olivia Pope, and Annalise Keating – do their thing.

I’m thankful for the resilience of my favorite city – New York, New York – and its ability to rise time and time again to remain greater than ever. There’s no place I love traveling more to than NYC (and yes, I blast “Welcome to New York” every time I arrive).

And while I’m here I have to say how thankful I am for Razonia for "rescuing" me in a sense from a sinking ship and bringing me on board to work with her. I might only be 22 but I've already realized how important it is to love what you do and love where you work – and I can truly say I love what I do and love it here at RMPR.

What are you thankful for?
