As I sit here and write this blog on my last day as an intern at RMPR, I can’t help but feel incredibly thankful for this opportunity I was given during my last semester of college. Back in January on my first day interning at RMPR, I really had no idea what to expect. In all honesty, I was scared out of my mind and nervous for this internship. However, little did I know the impact RMPR would have on my life. I can honestly say that this internship has not only taught me more about the public relations field in general but also about myself as an individual. Having the opportunity to work with such smart and talented ladies has really shaped me and prepared me for graduation and the “real world.”
Korryn, Sarah, Audrey, Ashleigh, and Razonia (our Commander in Chief), I just want to start off by saying thank you. Thank you for accepting me into the office with open arms and teaching me things that will last me a lifetime on my journey through the PR world. Each of you have made this internship something that has been unforgettable and overall just an amazing experience. I wish this internship didn’t have to come to an end quite yet for Ashleigh and me, but I know it’s someone else’s turn to sit at the intern desk and learn from this amazing group of ladies. I feel so lucky and blessed that I got to work at RMPR. Even though it was only for four short months, I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Razonia, I need to thank you for taking a chance on me and giving me the opportunity to work with you and learn from you. You truly have been the most amazing mentor, and I appreciate everything you have done for me. I am so thankful for the things you have taught me, and I truly admire your love and passion for PR and this entire office. I have never met a boss who cares as much as you do about their employees and the people they work with, so I think that we can all agree that you are the most badass person and boss in the world. Anyone who gets to work alongside you is truly lucky because they get to learn from one of the best in the industry. There is never a dull moment with you, and I swear you kept me laughing at my desk all day long. Not a lot of people can say that about their bosses. I am one of the lucky ones.
I have never been at a place where I was excited about coming to work early in the morning, until being at RMPR. This place has changed my life for the better, and I will truly miss everything about it. I currently feel a whirl of emotions as I finish typing my last blog, but overall, I just feel very grateful. Thank you, ladies, for the wisdom you have shared with me and the amazing memories we have all made together that I will forever cherish. I could go on and on about my love for this place, but I think I am going to stop right here because there really is no way I can truly express my gratitude to Razonia and the entire RMPR team (Plus, I currently have tears running down my face). So, thank you all for making my last semester at Texas Tech an unforgettable one, and I hope to see you all again soon!
