Often times we find ourselves getting so busy we forget to take a break and rest. As someone who is just returning to the daily grind after being on vacation, I write this to encourage you to TAKE A VACATION!
You might think that you're too busy, but how many times a day do you find yourself feeling exhausted or getting frustrated easily? Sometimes a quick trip away from your usual routine is just what you need to hit the reset button.
Still not convinced? Here are 3 reasons why you should plan a vacation (and not check your email at all while you're on it!):
1. Reduces Stress
This might be the most obvious point, but it's true! When you take a step back from work and the real-world (and remove yourself from the environments you find yourself frequently stressed in), it'll help you hit the reset button on your stress and leave you feeling refreshed.
2. Prevent Burnout
Sometimes we go, go, go and before we know it we find ourselves feeling burnt out on our current routines. A vacation is the perfect way to get away and change the pace for a few days. You might even find yourself missing your routine at the end of it.
3. You'll Be More Productive
This ties in with #2 pretty well, but when you take a step back from all of your usual tasks, and just focus on yourself, it has been proven to make you more productive in the long run. You'll find yourself getting more done when you know you have a break coming up! Once you return back, you'll find that the rest has filled you with an all new energy to get back at it again. Win/win!
