You’ve most likely experienced a little ‘me’ time in your life. If you haven’t… then what are you waiting for!? I personally live for my ‘me’ time. Being more of an introvert, I require ‘me’ time almost daily. Whether it’s 30 minutes in the morning, or an hour of alone time in the evening… It’s an absolutely must for me.
So what is ‘me’ time? It’s time you set aside for yourself, no matter how busy you are or how many roles you play. It’s time you set aside once a day or once a week where you relax, pamper yourself, and have some quality alone time. It’s good for the soul and your sanity. If you’re a mom, student, son, teacher, etc. you need me time. We all do.
The benefits go on and on but to list a few:
- It makes you a better decision maker and person in general
- It can help you sleep better at night
- It gives you the opportunity to find yourself
- It can lessen stress
Forbes also wrote a great article on some other reasons why you should enjoy your alone time. Read that here.
When scheduling your week, make sure to also schedule in those few minutes of sanity time for yourself. You will be surprised how much happier and motivated you are.
